Worried about weeds in your new lawn?

Oxafert herbicide & fertiliser is here to help!

Thinking about laying lawn but you’re worried about weeds popping up after disturbing the soil? We have a product for you!

Oxafert, is a weed pre-emergent herbicide and fertiliser that can rid those pesky weeds before they even appear! Sounds too good to be true, right?

The pre-emergent herbicide component will kill stubborn annual weeds before they appear, whilst the fertiliser component will give your lawn an extra boost of vital nutrients. It targets weed seeds before they break through the soil barrier and stops the germination of new seedlings from coming up through your lawn, yet it won’t inhibit any root growth of your established lawn. Yes!

Oxafert targets both broadleaf and annual grass-type weeds including Winter grass, Crabgrass, Creeping Oxalis and Summer grass. The herbicide active ingredient has a residual effect for around three months. It is ideal to apply seasonally to coincide with the different weed types throughout the year. Oxafert is a granular product that we recommend to spread out evenly using a hand spreader and to water in well for the most effective cover. Follow the directions on the label before using this product and always use as directed and wear safety equipment.

Oxafert is a weed PRE-emergent, it is only effective before the weeds have grown and established. If you already have a lawn full of weeds, we recommend using a suitable herbicide to treat them and then look at applying Oxafert on a regular basis to keep them under control year-round.

The best preventative for weeds is a good lawn care regime. Regular mowing, fertilisation and providing key maintenance to your lawn will help keep the weeds at bay and is a better long-term solution to spraying your lawn all the time.
