Talking mental health with Nova

This week from Monday 21st to Friday 25th June, Ben & Liam from NOVA will be ‘Trapped’ inside a purpose built glass structure in the middle of Rundle Mall. This is to draw parallels with the feelings often experienced by those struggling with mental health. It will help raise money and awarness for such an important cause! All donations will go directly to Lifeline Adelaide to help them support people in crisis.

This is a cause very close to our hearts here at The Turf Farm and we are thrilled to be able to support Ben & Liam while they’re Trapped.

Switch to Nova this week to follow along, and if you can, any donation to Lifeline Adelaide will be greatly received.

Lifeline Adelaide

Lifeline Adelaide does incredible work with minimal funding from the state government. Their volunteer crisis support workers answer over 46,000 calls and online chats each year from people experiencing crisis and, sometimes, considering suicide.

  • $29 will allow Lifeline to respond to another text
  • $39 will allow Lifeline to answer another call
  • $125 will help provide an Internet connection for remote text crisis supporters
  • $200 will help answer six people’s request for text crisis support in their moment of need
  • $300 will sponsor one volunteer for one shift
  • $2,900 will allow Lifeline to train one volunteer to become an accredited Crisis Support Worker
